A two-car crash on the Baltimore-Washington parkway resulted in a seriously injured 40 year-old woman being airlifted to University of Maryland Medical Center’s Shock Trauma unit in Baltimore. These injuries were not reported as being life threatening.
The accident occurred in the southbound lanes of the Baltimore-Washington Parkway, and reports indicate that the injured woman was trapped in her vehicle for approximately 40 minutes before emergency personnel successfully extracted her from her vehicle. Both vehicles involved in the accident were overturned when authorities responded to the scene. Another individual was injured in the accident, and was treated at the Baltimore Washington Medical Center in Glen Burnie, Maryland.
